英语代词讲解

2023年5月，北京，1000名学生：
1. 代词分类：人称代词、物主代词、指示代词、疑问代词、关系代词。 2. 人称代词：I, you, he, she, it, we, they。例如：I (我) like apples. 3. 物主代词：my, your, his, her, its, our, their。例如：This is my book. 4. 指示代词：this, that, these, those。例如：This is a pen, and that is a pencil. 5. 疑问代词：who, whom, whose, what, which。例如：Who is this? 6. 关系代词：who, whom, whose, that, which。例如：The man who is speaking is my teacher. 7. 注意性别和数的一致性。 8. 代词避免重复，使用指代明确。 9. 例子：She bought a car, and it is red. 10. 实战：在句子中正确使用代词，避免混淆。

说起英语代词，那可是个让我头疼的小家伙。记得有次教一个初中的小妹妹，她就是分不清什么时候该用 who，什么时候该用 whom。
我那时候给她举了个例子：“比如，你问你妈妈‘Who’s that man over there？’（那个人是谁？）这时候用 who，因为 you 不会说‘Whom’s that man over there？’对吧？但如果你说‘To whom should I give the book？’（我应该把书给谁？）这时候就得用 whom，因为 give 是给的动作，要用宾格。”
然后，她又来问我：“那 I 和 me 怎么用啊？”我笑着说：“简单，I 是主格，me 是宾格。就像你问我‘Who are you with？’（你跟谁在一起？）你就得说‘I am with my friend’（我和我的朋友在一起），不能用 me。但如果是‘I gave my friend the book’，这里 give 是动词，后面跟宾语，所以用 me。”
再有一次，有个同事跟我抱怨，他的外国客户总是把 I 和 me 搞混。我告诉他：“你看，你可以说‘I am responsible for this project’（我对这个项目负责），但你说‘Me is responsible for this project’就是错误的。记得，I 是主语，me 是宾语。”
唉，英语代词真是让人头大，不过一旦搞懂了，也就那么回事儿。就像我教过的那些学生，慢慢地也就不那么头疼了。哈感觉我就像个老中医，一点一点地给他们把语法病给治好。
